Abstract

Kabupaten Ponorogo, yang terletak di Provinsi Jawa Timur, memiliki warisan budaya seni Reog Ponorogo yang khas dan berbeda dari kebudayaan Jawa lainnya. Upaya pemerintah dan pelaku seni dalam melestarikan kebudayaan ini telah dilakukan melalui berbagai acara, termasuk pementasan seni Reog Ponorogo kepada masyarakat umum. Namun, hingga kini, seni tersebut sering kali hanya dikenal sebagai sebuah tarian tanpa pemahaman mendalam mengenai nilainilai budaya yang terkandung di dalamnya. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah daerah berupaya memperkuat identitas kota melalui pelestarian kebudayaan, salah satunya dengan membangun Culture Center yang mencerminkan seni clan budaya lokal, serta menjadi wadah edukasi dan apresiasi budaya Perancangan Culture Center ini mengusung pendekatan Arsitektur Ekologi, dengan menekankan keseimbangan antara bangunan dan lingkungan sekitar. Desain ini memanfaatkan prinsip-prinsip keberlanjutan, seperti penggunaan material alami, pengelolaan sumber daya alam secara efisien, serta integrasi dengan ekosistem setempat Melalui pendekatan ini, diharapkan Culture Center tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pusat budaya, tetapi juga sebagai contoh penerapan arsitektur yang ramah lingkungan. Museum budaya yang ada di dalamnya bertujuan untuk melestarikan dan mengenalkan seni budaya Reog Ponorogo kepada masyarakat luas, memperkuat identitas budaya lokal, serta menjadi pusat pengembangan nilai-nilai budaya bagi generasi mendatang. Ponorogo, a regency in East Java Province, is famous for its unique cultural heritage that is different from other Javanese cultures, which is Reog Ponorogo. The government and artists have been trying to preserve this culture through various events, including the Reog Ponorogo art performance as a spectacle for the general public. However, people only know this art as a dance without understanding the cultural values behind it. Therefore, the local government is trying to enhance the city’s identity through cultural preservation by building a Cultural Center that reflects local arts and culture, while accommodating cultural education and appreciation. The design of this Cultural Center highlights the Ecological Architecture approach by emphasizing the balance between the building and the surrounding environment. This design implements sustainability principles, such as the use of natural materials, efficient management of natural resources, and integration with the local ecosystem. This approach is expected to build a Cultural Center that functions not only as a cultural center but also as an example of the application of environmentally friendly architecture. The cultural museum in this building aims to preserve and introduce the Reog Ponorogo cultural arts to the wider community, strengthen local cultural identity, and become a development center of cultural values for future generations.
