Abstract

Ordering catering services is an activity undertaken by customers to purchase food products. At Tebar Rasa Restaurant, the catering ordering process requires customers to visit the location in person. Based on the author’s interviews with relevant stakeholders, several customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the ordering process, citing that it consumes excessive time, energy, and costs. To address this issue, the author developed a Mobile-Based Catering Ordering Application to facilitate the catering ordering process for customers. The application is built on an Android programming framework and utilizes MySQL for data storage. This application aims to save time and energy while providing accurate information. Testing results indicate that the application performs well and meets user demands. By leveraging the strengths of both PHP and Java programming languages, this research has the potential to create a more efficient and satisfying food ordering experience for customers.
