Abstract

ABSTRACT SMK Yabujah is a vocational school that still uses a conventional attendance system in the form of paper sheets, which are prone to recording errors, data manipulation, and late recapitulation. To overcome these problems, a web-based student attendance information system was developed to replace conventional methods with a more efficient digital solution. This study aims to design and implement a digital attendance system that can record student attendance in real-time, facilitate data validation, and speed up the recapitulation process. This system was developed through the stages of needs analysis, system design, writing program code, testing, to implementation and maintenance. Based on the test results of 87 usage scenarios, the system showed a functional success of 100%. This system is able to solve major problems such as late recapitulation, recording errors, and potential data manipulation. Thus, the web-based attendance information system that was built has proven effective in increasing the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of student attendance management in the school environment.
