Abstract

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF WEB-BASED ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (Case Study: Inayatullah Islamic Boarding School Yogyakarta) Dimas Wahyu Prasetyo Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl.Ringroad Utara, Jombor, Sleman, Yogyakarta Email: [email protected] ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze and design a website for an academic assessment information system at Inayatullah Islamic Boarding School, Yogyakarta. The background of this study is the need for modernization of the research system which is still manual, which often causes various potential errors in data input. This system is designed to improve efficiency and accuracy in the process of assessing students' academics. The research methods used include direct observation at the Islamic boarding school, interviews with managers and teachers, and literature studies to collect data and system requirements. The analysis was carried out using an object-oriented approach, while the system design used the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The results of this study are in the form of a design for an academic assessment information system website that includes value input features, data processing systems, and reporting of student learning outcomes. The implementation of this system is expected to improve time efficiency, data accuracy, assessment transparency, and better decision-making related to students' academic development. This design also considers potential future developments, such as integrity with the learning management system and mobile application development. In conclusion, the design of this academic assessment information system website not only addresses inaccuracies in manual assessments, but also opens up opportunities to improve the quality of education through better data analysis. With features specifically designed to meet the needs of Islamic boarding schools, this system has the potential to change the way academic management is carried out in Islamic educational institutions. The flexibility of the design allows for future development and integration, making it a valuable long-term investment for Islamic boarding schools. This system is expected to facilitate the assessment process, increase transparency, and assist in decision-making regarding the academic development of students at the Inayatullah Islamic Boarding School in Yogyakarta.
