Abstract
Decision-making in selecting temporary student housing, such as boarding houses, presents a significant challenge for students relocating to Sleman for academic purposes due to limited access to comprehensive information regarding available accommodations and their facilities. This study aims to develop a mobile-based recommendation system to assist students in selecting boarding houses in the Sleman area based on specific criteria, including price, amenities, and proximity to campus. The research methodology comprises four stages: data collection from relevant sources, system analysis to design workflow, recommendation system design, and full implementation on a mobile platform. Based on the ranking results generated by the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, Merapi Green Hills Mezzanie ranked highest with a final score of 11, followed by Khalia Exclusive A with 8.33, and Graha Rahma 2 Exclusive with 7.67. The study concludes that the proposed recommendation system effectively reduces uncertainty and improves student satisfaction in selecting suitable accommodations within the Sleman region.
