Abstract
Menu ordering at a coffee shop, is generally done with the customers visit the location, select their desired items, and place orders through a cashier, often the only available way to order. This system is also implemented at Kopi Gambus Krapyak, Yogyakarta, and still faces several challenges, such as extended waiting times during peak hours and errors in recording customer orders. This study aims to develop a mobile-based menu ordering system that allows customers to order and pay directly from their phones, reducing queues and waiting times. The method involves designing the system using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and developing both a mobile ordering application and a web-based café management system. The ordering application is built using the React Native framework, while the management system utilizes CodeIgniter, a PHP-based framework. The system is equipped with a Midtrans Payment Gateway feature, enabling customers to make cashless payments directly within the app, helping to minimize queues. The results show that, after the application’s implementation, customers no longer need to order, pay, and wait at the café, allowing multiple orders to be processed simultaneously.
