Abstract

ABSTRACT Semai Jepara Elementary School currently uses a manual attendance system, where each teacher and employee records attendance independently and submits it to the administration department at the end of the month. This process is considered ineffective because it creates various problems, such as delays in recapitulation, the risk of data loss, and potential errors in recording and calculating attendance. To address these issues, this study designed and implemented a web-based attendance information system integrated with the payroll system. This system allows teachers and employees to record attendance directly through a digital platform, which automatically records, processes, and stores attendance data in a database. Integration with the payroll system also simplifies the attendance-based salary calculation process, resulting in more accuracy and transparency. The system design included a process model, data model, physical database design, inter-table relationships, and a user interface. Implementation results showed that the system functioned well and met the agency's needs. In conclusion, the developed information system improved efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in managing attendance and payroll at Semai Jepara Elementary School.
