Abstract

In today’s digital era, mobile-based service applications have become a crucial need for consumers, including self-service laundry services. A common issue faced by users is the uncertainty of machine availability upon arriving at the laundry location. This study aims to design and develop a mobile-based application for monitoring availability and reserving self-service laundry machines. The application was developed using Flutter for the mobile platform and Laravel for the backend, employing the Waterfall model as the software development methodology. The application enables users to monitor washing machine availability in real-time and reserve vacant machines, thereby reducing waiting time and improving service efficiency. Data collection was conducted through observation and interviews at the laundry location regarding the reservation system. Testing results demonstrate that the application effectively provides accurate machine availability information and simplifies the reservation process, ultimately enhancing user efficiency and productivity in utilizing self-service laundry services.
