Abstract
Chili seedling cultivation is a crucial stage in agricultural production, directly affecting the quality and yield of plants when transferred to open fields. In Besole Sub-Village, RT 034 RW 017, the seedling process is still conducted manually and traditionally without the support of soil moisture measuring tools. This results in inconsistent watering, especially during dry seasons when water availability is limited. Consequently, many seedlings experience dehydration, stunted growth, and early death, which negatively impacts seedling success rates and production efficiency. This study aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based automatic irrigation system equipped with soil moisture sensors to monitor planting media conditions in real-time. The system is integrated with a mobile application accessible via WiFi, allowing farmers to remotely monitor and control irrigation activities. The implementation of this system improves water use efficiency and increases the success rate of chili seedling cultivation. This technology serves as an initial step in modernizing rural agriculture to address challenges such as climate change and resource limitations. Keywords: Internet of Things, Automatic Irrigation, Chili Seedlings, Mobile Application, Soil Moisture.
