Abstract

Clove is a vital agricultural commodity with significant economic value due to its competitiveness in major markets and its diverse range of applications. However, the classification process for dry clove flowers is still performed manually and subjectively, often leading to inaccuracies and inconsistencies in quality assessments. These issues can result in a mismatch between product quality and pricing. This study aims to develop a web-based classification system using fuzzy logic with the Tsukamoto method to provide a more objective quality evaluation. The system processes input parameters such as size, shape, and color of clove samples to generate a classification output along with a fuzzy score. The Tsukamoto fuzzy method was selected for its capability to handle uncertainty and produce structured, rule-based decisions. The resulting website-based system, named Clove Tester, was tested through sensitivity analysis by adjusting membership functions related to clove condition and quality, as well as through black-box testing for system functionality. Although significant variations were observed in the fuzzy score due to changes in membership functions, the system achieved an accuracy rate of 77.78%, with an average score fluctuation of 89.73%, indicating a good level of stability in adapting to input variations. Keywords: Fuzzy Logic, Tsukamoto Method, Clove Classification, Web-Based System, Agricultural Technology.
