Abstract

The advancement of information technology has significantly transformed various aspects of life, particularly in the business sector. One widely adopted application of this technology is the Point of Sale (POS) system, which is used to record and manage sales transactions in retail environments. Traditional POS systems are typically desktop-based and require software installation on each device, posing challenges for businesses with multiple branches or those seeking to enable mobile transaction capabilities for cashiers. To address these limitations, this study aims to design and implement a mobile-based POS application utilizing Firebase’s real-time database and the React Native framework for mobile development. The results demonstrate that the mobile POS application developed with Firebase and React Native effectively enhances the efficiency and accuracy of sales transaction management, making it a practical solution for modern business operations.
