Abstract
School libraries play a vital role in supporting the learning process, yet many still face management challenges, particularly in handling book damage and loss reports. This study aims to design and develop a mobile-based library application integrated with a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) service using a chatbot to improve library service efficiency. The system was developed using the Research and Development (R&D) method, covering stages from user needs identification to system implementation and testing. The resulting mobile application enables students to search for, borrow, and return books digitally, while also accessing an automated FAQ chatbot for common queries. Additionally, an admin web platform is provided to assist library staff in managing book inventories, user data, transactions, and problem reports. The system implementation shows successful operation and ease of use, enhancing library operations and improving responsiveness through automated information delivery. Thus, this application offers an effective solution for modernizing and streamlining school library services.
