Abstract

The advancement of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has demonstrated significant potential across various sectors, including terrarium maintenance. This study aims to develop an IoT-based automated terrarium system utilizing a Fuzzy algorithm to effectively and efficiently address the challenges of maintaining an optimal microenvironment. The system integrates IoT sensors to monitor temperature, air humidity, and soil moisture in real-time, while a Fuzzy Controller System regulates environmental conditions based on the specific needs of the plants. A key feature of the system is its remote-control capability via smartphone, allowing users to monitor and manage their terrarium without physical presence. Based on both fuzzy logics testing and black-box evaluation, the system operated successfully and as expected. The implementation of this system offers a practical and efficient solution for terrarium care, enhancing user engagement and convenience in maintaining plant ecosystems.
