Abstract
Rapid urbanization has significantly influenced consumer behavior in seeking food-related information, particularly in the food court sector. According to Indonesia’s Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), urbanization is projected to rise from 56.7% in 2020 to 65.6% by 2025, in line with the food and beverage industry's growth of 8.67% in 2018. Despite this expansion, 71.65% of 11,223 culinary businesses in food courts still lack structured information such as tenant directories and organized menus. Manual ordering processes often result in slower service and a higher likelihood of errors. This study developed a mobile application using Flutter, integrated with the Geolocator library and Firebase database, to streamline food court search and ordering based on user location. Data were collected through direct observation in Sleman, Yogyakarta, and interviews with food court managers and tenants. Testing involved 23 users through black box evaluation and a user questionnaire. Results showed that 95% of participants found the application useful, and user comprehension increased from 64.7% (pre-test) to 92.4% (post-test). The application effectively delivers structured food court information and ordering services, enhancing convenience and efficiency for both users and vendors.
