Abstract
The rapid advancement of information and communication technology has driven significant innovation in the trade sector, particularly in the ordering of basic necessities. This study focuses on BDP Staple Goods and Plastics Grocery in Yogyakarta, which currently faces inefficiencies due to a manual ordering system prone to data entry errors, data loss, and ineffective management of product and order information. To address these challenges, an Android-based grocery ordering application was developed using Android Studio with Java for the front-end, Laravel for the back-end, and MySQL as the database management system. The application integrates essential features such as product search, shopping cart, payment method selection, and order history tracking. Functionality testing was conducted using the black box testing method. The results indicate that the application successfully records and manages order data, enhances information accessibility, and improves operational efficiency for both users and the BDP Staple Goods and Plastics Grocery management.
