Abstract

The Web-Mobile Based Academic System is an innovative solution designed to enhance accessibility and administrative efficiency in educational environments. With the rapid advancement of information technology, its role as a medium for communication and information management in education has become increasingly critical, especially in academic administration. State Junior High School 2 Paloh, as a case study, still manages its academic data using conventional methods, highlighting the need for an information technology-based system. This academic system is a mobile-oriented platform developed using the Mobile-D methodology, aiming to streamline academic management processes at State Junior High School 2 Paloh. The system includes comprehensive modules for managing student and teacher data, class schedules, subjects, grades, report cards, attendance, and announcements. The Mobile-D method was employed to ensure a responsive user interface compatible with various mobile devices. The study results indicate that the system significantly enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of academic data management. In terms of effectiveness, the academic information system improves communication and ensures accurate and well-organized academic records. From an efficiency perspective, it accelerates administrative processes, reduces operational costs through paperless workflows, and minimizes human error.
