Abstract

Waste management has become a critical issue in Nguwet Village, Temanggung Regency, primarily due to inefficient waste collection systems and low public awareness of environmental stewardship. This has resulted in waste accumulation, leading to environmental pollution and health risks for residents. To address these challenges, this study focuses on designing and developing a mobile-based application to support optimized waste management at the neighborhood (RT/RW) level. The application is engineered to record waste management data, schedule pickups, and monitor waste status in real-time. The development process employs an Android-based approach integrated with a centralized database for efficient data handling. The research methodology includes site surveys, needs analysis, application design, development, and field testing within the village. The results demonstrate that the application significantly improves the efficiency of waste handling through an organized, user-friendly system. Beyond offering a technological solution, the application fosters community engagement in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment. Keywords: Mobile Application, Android, Waste Management.
