Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology today significantly impacts data security, making it essential for organizations to implement robust protection mechanisms to safeguard sensitive information. PT Rumah Bersama Seluler leverages technological innovations to secure social media data that contains critical and confidential content. To ensure this security, cryptographic techniques are applied, serving as a fundamental method for protecting data by encrypting file contents, thereby preventing unauthorized access. This study focuses on the implementation of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm, known for its resilience against Brute Force Attacks due to its multi-round encryption process and bit-level complexity. The AES algorithm was chosen for its high level of security and efficiency in data encryption and decryption. Using AES 128-bit encryption with the Rijndael cipher, the system successfully converts plaintext into ciphertext that is unreadable to unauthorized users. Upon decryption, the original message is accurately restored, ensuring both confidentiality and data integrity. Experimental results confirm that AES provides a reliable solution for securing web-based social media data, making it an effective approach for protecting digital communication in corporate environments.
