Abstract

The new student enrollment process at State Junior High School 1 Kuwarasan was previously conducted manually, leading to issues such as delays in data processing, risk of document loss, and limited access to information for prospective students and their parents. This study aims to design and develop an Android-based mobile information system to support the digitalization of the student admission process (PPDB). The system development follows the Waterfall method, encompassing requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing phases. The application was built using Android Studio, with Java and Kotlin as the programming languages, and integrates Firebase Realtime Database for data management and Firebase Authentication for secure login functionality. The implementation results indicate that the system provides an efficient, fast, and accurate digital solution for student enrollment while improving transparency and real-time information access for all stakeholders. This mobile application is expected to serve as a digital transformation model for the enrollment process in junior high schools.
