Abstract

Kismo RentCar is a company engaged in car rental services. Currently, its vehicle management and rental processes are handled using inefficient and error-prone methods. Customers must either visit the office in person or communicate via platforms like WhatsApp to make a reservation, while the admin manages rental data manually using Microsoft Excel. To address these issues, this study aims to design and develop a mobile-based car rental application that simplifies the rental process for customers and introduces an admin web application for more efficient, organized, and accurate data management. The mobile app, developed using Flutter, allows users to view available vehicles, check their status, and make rental bookings conveniently online. The admin web panel and backend API are developed using the Laravel framework, with MySQL as the database server, supporting functionalities such as vehicle management, booking transactions, and rental status tracking in a structured manner. The outcome of this research is a comprehensive mobile car rental system that enhances service accessibility for customers and streamlines data operations for the company.
