Abstract
Amanda Store, as a retail business, faces various challenges in the digital era—particularly in store management and sales transactions that demand speed, accuracy, and efficiency. Currently, the store still operates manually, resulting in slow transactions, a higher risk of errors, and time-consuming processes. To address these issues, this study proposes the development of a web-based Point of Sale (POS) application. The system is designed to support inventory management, transaction recording, user administration, and the generation of integrated sales reports. The development process includes needs analysis, system architecture design, database design, and user interface development. System testing was conducted to ensure that the application functions effectively according to the store’s operational requirements. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in transaction efficiency, inventory accuracy, and overall customer service quality. The implementation of this web-based POS system enables Amanda Store to operate in a faster, more structured, and transparent manner. Keywords: Point of Sale, POS, cashier application, retail store, web, PHP.
