Abstract
Information security in digital environments has become increasingly critical, especially within governmental organizations and businesses that frequently store sensitive and confidential data. One effective method for safeguarding digital files is cryptography—an encryption technique that encodes messages by rearranging their original structure based on specific rules, making the content accessible only to authorized users possessing the correct key. This study aims to secure sales report files stored on the Mugiyati Grocery Store’s website by applying the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm. The primary objective of using AES is to enhance data confidentiality by converting plaintext into unintelligible ciphertext, thus preventing unauthorized access. The implementation phase involved developing a web-based application that allows users to perform both encryption and decryption of files. This approach ensures secure file management and reinforces data protection measures for business operations in the digital space. Keywords: Security, Data, Sales Report, Web, AES.
