Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a mobile-based online travel booking system for Yaho Travel, integrated with RESTful API to enhance efficiency, speed, and convenience in the ticket booking process. The system is developed to meet users’ needs in searching for departure schedules, selecting seats, placing bookings, and confirming payments in real-time through a mobile application that connects directly to the backend server via HTTP protocol and JSON data format. The development methodology includes requirements analysis, interface and database design, RESTful API implementation using the Laravel framework, and integration into a Flutter-based mobile application. Black-box testing was employed to verify that each feature operates correctly from both user and admin perspectives. The testing results indicate that the system functions effectively, significantly streamlining the booking administration process and improving user satisfaction. Furthermore, the system offers a modular and flexible data management solution for administrators. In the future, the system holds potential for further development with features such as automated notifications, booking history, analytics dashboards, and integration with digital payment platforms to better support Yaho Travel’s operations and enhance user experience.
