Abstract

Sleman Regency is one of the key destinations frequently visited by people from outside the city for purposes such as education, work, or extended vacations. However, newcomers often face difficulties in finding accurate and updated information about available boarding houses in the area. Simultaneously, many boarding house owners lack platforms to promote their properties effectively, resulting in limited visibility. This research aims to design and develop a mobile web-based boarding house search system that serves both tenants and landlords. By presenting information through a mobile-friendly website, accessibility and usability are significantly improved. The system is developed using PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) as the programming language and MySQL as the database server. Based on testing, the system functions properly, enabling prospective tenants to easily obtain relevant information about available boarding houses in Sleman Regency, thus bridging the information gap between supply and demand.
