Abstract
SMK Wiyasa is a private vocational high school in located in Magelang. It offers programs in Tourism Services and Hospitality, stores various sensitive files such as student data, teacher records, and exam materials in local computer storage without a dedicated security or archiving system. This lack of protection makes the files vulnerable to unauthorized access. To address this issue, the researcher developed a web-based application implementing the Rivest Cipher 4 (RC4) cryptographic algorithm to encrypt and secure these files. The results show that the application successfully encrypts and decrypts files, allowing only users with the correct password to access and restore the original data. This study offers a practical security solution for educational environments, enhancing data protection and preventing unauthorized access. The developed system significantly contributes to more secure and efficient data management at Wiyasa Vocational High School. Keywords: RC4, Encryption, Decryption, Data Security.
