Abstract
This study explores the influence of human interaction on the character development of White Fang in Jack London's novel White Fang. The analysis focuses on how different types of human interactions authoritarian, abusive, affectionate, and socially adaptive shape the emotional and behavioral growth of the main character, White Fang. The study uses behaviorism theory as a framework to understand how reinforcement and punishment influence White Fang’s transformation from a wild and instinct-driven cub into a tame, emotionally mature, and loyal companion. Through qualitative descriptive methods, the research reveals that human interactions play a vital role not only in White Fang's behavioral patterns but also in his ability to trust, connect, and form meaningful relationships. This study highlights that consistent treatment whether negative or positive has longlasting effects on an individual’s character development, particularly in the context of social and emotional learning.
