Abstract
This research aims to find out the types of figurative language used in the A Beautiful Blur album and the most dominant type of figurative language used. The data source is obtained from an album called A Beautiful Blur, one of LANY's discographies, consisting of 13 songs. This research applies the qualitative method and Knickerbocker and Reninger’s theory in collecting and analyzing the data. From the 73 data found, there are 7 types of figurative language: 37 items of Hyperbole, 13 items of Personification, 8 items of Allusion, 6 items of Metaphor, 4 items of Paradox, 3 items of Irony, and 2 items of Simile. From the data that have been analyzed, it can be concluded that the most dominant type of figurative language used in the A Beautiful Blur album is Hyperbole, with a total of 37 items.
