The main data source is the novel Pride and Prejudice, whilethe second data source comes from the theory of liberal feminism developed by MaryWollstonecraft and Betty Friedan. The analysis technique used in this researchis reading the novel Pride and Prejudice to understand the characters, dialog, andthemes related to feminism values. The results of this study show that ElizabethBennet presents the values of liberal feminism through her actions and attitudes, including: Freedom to choose a partner, intellectual equality with men, rejectionof patriarchy, and views that oppose social hierarchy based on class.
