Abstract
This study entitled “Structural Changes in Indonesian Texts in The Dawn of The Planet of The Apes” is aimed to find out the changes in the structure of the English into Indonesian translation in the film The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. This study is a quantitative comparative research that compares two variables, namely the structure of English and Indonesian. In conducting the research, the method used is a quantitative comparative. This study shows that there were changes in the structure of English; noun: 2, verb: 10, auxiliary: 2, phrase: 2, and sentence: 14. Then changes in the structure of Indonesian; verb: 2, phrase: 6, clause: 3, sentence: 20. The English-Indonesian language structure in the dialogue of the Apes dialogue in the film The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has changed due to differences in the rules of language structure of each language. In addition, changes in translation are also influenced by the use of free and adaptation translation techniques also has an effect on the film.
