Abstract

The attendance system currently implemented at SRSP Clothing Production relies on a manual method that utilizes a signature form. This approach has several shortcomings, including the potential for attendance fraud, such as signature manipulation by irresponsible individuals. Additionally, the manual system complicates management's ability to efficiently summarize attendance, as the recording and calculation processes are time-consuming and prone to errors. This study aims to design and implement an Android-based attendance information system to replace the less effective manual method. The application employs a selfie photo feature and Location-Based Services (LBS) to verify employee attendance at predetermined locations. Furthermore, this system includes features for managing employee data, tracking attendance history, processing leave applications, and recapitulating attendance data in PDF format. Test results indicate that this application enhances the accuracy of attendance data, reduces the potential for fraud, and facilitates real-time monitoring of employee attendance for administrators. Consequently, this application offers an effective solution to address attendance issues within the company and improve operational efficiency.
