Abstract

Current advancements in information technology have significantly impacted various sectors, including healthcare. Common challenges faced by healthcare facilities include time-consuming manual registration processes, difficulties for patients in accessing service schedule information, and inefficient queue management. This research aims to design and develop an Android-based mobile healthcare system to enhance the efficiency and quality of healthcare services. The system was developed using Java for the Android platform and the CodeIgniter framework for the backend, employing software development methodologies grounded in system analysis and implementation. This system enables patients to register online, view service schedules, and monitor queues in real time, thereby reducing waiting times and improving the overall quality of healthcare services. Data collection was conducted through interviews with healthcare professionals and a comprehensive literature review related to healthcare systems. Testing results using black-box testing methods demonstrated that the system functioned well according to specifications, with 22 test cases declared valid. Thus, this system has been proven to assist healthcare facilities in improving operational efficiency and providing patients with easier access to healthcare services. Keywords: Healthcare, Mobile Android, Java, CodeIgniter, Black Box Testing.
