Abstract

ABSTRACT The advancement of information technology has led to increased use of digital documents across various activities by both individuals and institutions. However, this trend also introduces risks of data leaks and misuse of personal information due to inadequate security systems. Sensitive documents such as Resident Identity Cards (KTP), Family Cards (KK), and Driver's Licenses (SIM) require robust protection mechanisms. This study aims to design and develop a web application that secures personal data through encryption and decryption processes using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm. The system development methodology includes problem identification, literature review, needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The application is web-based and features login functionality, account management, document uploads, encryption and decryption, and data management for both administrators and users. System testing was performed using black-box testing to ensure that each function operates according to the specified requirements. The results demonstrate that the developed web application effectively encrypts and decrypts digital documents, enhancing the security of personal data storage. With this system, stored data cannot be accessed without the appropriate key, thereby minimizing the risk of data leakage. This application offers a viable solution for web-based personal data security and can be further refined in future research. Keywords: Data Security, Encryption, Decryption, AES, Web
