Abstract

ABSTRACT In the process of selling products or services, maintaining accurate transaction records is crucial for any business. These records enable entrepreneurs to efficiently calculate financial flows, such as sales revenue and profits over specific periods. Without proper transaction records, such calculations would be challenging. The advent of computer technology has simplified this process by allowing transactions to be recorded digitally in databases. However, this advancement also introduces new risks, including data theft by external parties and potential database leaks. Therefore, it is essential to implement measures to secure the data stored within these databases. To address these concerns, this research focuses on implementing the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to develop a web-based transaction recording system that prevents information leaks. The use of AES encryption ensures that even if data is stolen, it remains unreadable without the specific decryption key. Consequently, this study concludes that integrating AES encryption into transaction recording systems can significantly enhance the security of transaction data for entrepreneurs.
