Abstract
ABSTRACT Transportation rental is generally done by customers coming directly to the location, contacting the service provider by phone, and making an agreement by choosing the vehicle and destination. This method is often used to rent transportation. However, there are still several disadvantages, such as the time required when the service provider is far away and you do not have their telephone number. This study aims to develop a transportation rental marketplace system that allows customers to rent and pay directly from their mobile phones, thereby reducing time. The method used involves system design using the Unified Modelling Language (UML) and the development of a marketplace-based rental application and a website-based data management system. The rental application was built with React Native, while the management system uses the PHP framework Laravel. The results of the study show that after the application’s implementation, customers no longer need to go directly to the service provider's location to rent transportation; rentals can be done through the application.
