Abstract

ABSTRACT Rice harvest distribution is a critical factor in maintaining price stability and ensuring national food security. However, traditional distribution methods face several challenges, including lengthy supply chains, extended delivery times, and limited access to pricing and milling information. These issues lead to distribution inefficiencies, price volatility that adversely affects farmers, and a decline in their welfare. To address these challenges, this research focuses on developing a location-based service (LBS) mobile application integrated with a monitoring website to streamline the rice distribution chain. The proposed system connects farmers, millers, and distributors on a single digital platform, resulting in a shorter, more transparent, and more efficient distribution process. The mobile application offers key features such as harvest recording, searching for the nearest milling locations, real-time market price information, product sales and ordering, transaction recording, agricultural news, and digital payment integration. Meanwhile, the monitoring website is designed for relevant agencies to display production and distribution data, development graphs, and maps of farmer and milling distributions. This research utilizes data from the Cilamaya Wetan Agricultural Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD Pertanian). The system was implemented using Flutter for the mobile application, Vue.js for the website, and the Firebase Realtime Database as the integrated database. Black-Box Testing results indicate that all key functions, including authentication, product management, ordering, order entry, and location services, operate in accordance with user requirements. Thus, this system can improve distribution efficiency, strengthen price transparency, and benefit farmers, mills, distributors, and agencies by supporting national food security.
