Abstract

Kabupaten Tegal merupakan daerah yang memiliki potensi UMKM yang cukup besar, namun masih menghadapi permasalahan berupa kurangnya fasilitas pembinaan, produksi, dan pemasaran yang representatif serta terintegrasi. Kondisi ini menyebabkan rendahnya kualitas pengembangan usaha dan minimnya peningkatan nilai tambah bagi pelaku UMKM. Perancangan Gedung Sentra UMKM dengan pendekatan arsitektur berkelanjutan digagas untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut dengan menghadirkan bangunan yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan aktivitas UMKM sekaligus ramah lingkungan. Metode perancangan yang digunakan merupakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan analisis kebutuhan pengguna, studi literatur, serta pendekatan desain pasif yang mendukung efisiensi energi. Pendekatan arsitektur berkelanjutan diterapkan melalui pemanfaatan pencahayaan alami, ventilasi silang, penggunaan material lokal, dan pengolahan ruang luar yang adaptif terhadap iklim. Hasil perancangan Sentra UMKM menghasilkan bangunan yang mampu mewadahi berbagai fungsi, seperti ruang pelatihan, ruang workshop, area produksi, galeri pemasaran, food court, dan area publik yang dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal oleh masyarakat. Penerapan strategi keberlanjutan juga tampak melalui penggunaan secondary skin, ruang hijau, manajemen air hujan, serta orientasi massa bangunan yang memperhatikan pergerakan matahari dan arah angin. Kesimpulan dari perancangan Gedung Sentra UMKM ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan arsitektur berkelanjutan mampu menghadirkan bangunan yang tidak hanya fungsional dan efisien, tetapi juga mendukung peningkatan kapasitas UMKM lokal serta menciptakan lingkungan yang nyaman, hemat energi, dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan sosial masyarakat Kabupaten Tegal. Tegal Regency has significant MSME potential but still faces challenges, including a lack of representative and integrated development, production, and marketing facilities. These conditions lead to poor business development and minimal added value for MSME actors. To address these issues, the design of the MSME Center Building incorporates a sustainable architectural approach, creating a facility that meets the needs of MSME activities while remaining environmentally friendly. The design method employed is qualitative and descriptive, involving user needs analysis, literature review, and a passive design strategy that promotes energy efficiency. The sustainable architectural approach is realized through the use of natural lighting, cross-ventilation, local materials, and the development of outdoor spaces that are adaptable to the local climate. The design of the MSME Center produces a building that can accommodate various functions, including training rooms, workshops, production areas, marketing galleries, food courts, and public areas, all of which can be optimally utilized by the community. The implementation of sustainability strategies is also evident through the use of a secondary skin, green space, rainwater management, and the orientation of the building mass that takes into account the movement of the sun and wind direction. The conclusion of the design of the MSME Center Building demonstrates that a sustainable architectural approach can create a building that is not only functional and efficient but also supports the capacity building of local MSMEs and fosters a comfortable, energy-efficient environment responsive to the social needs of the Tegal Regency community.
