Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah masih menjadi masalah bagi Kota Yogyakarta. Di satu sisi, Tempat Pembuangan Sampah Terakhir (TPST) Piyungan yang menjadi satu-satunya TPST bagi Kota Yogyakarta sudah tidak mampu lagi menampung sampah yang dihasilkan masyarakat. Sementara disisi yang lain, kesadaran dan perilaku masyarakat untuk memilah sampah masih belum optimal. Untuk mengatasi persoalan tersebut, pemerintah Kota Yogyakarta melaksanakan program Bank Sampah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektifitas bank sampah Kota yogyakarta pada tahun 2023 sampai 5 tahun mendatang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka, observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Metode pengolahan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksponensial yang digunakan untuk melakukan proyeksi penduduk untuk memperkirakan jumlah sampah dan pengurangannya terhadap bank sampah Kota yogyakarta. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa bank sampah dapat mereduksi sampah sebesar 1,59% pada tahun 2023 dan mereduksi sebesar 9,16% pada tahun 2028. Dengan demikian, program ini tidak boleh dihentikan. Program ini harus tetap berlanjut dan konsisten, dilihat dari hasil penelitian yang menunjuKKan reduksi sampah terhadap sampah Kota yogyakarta cukup besar. Kata kunci: Bank Sampah, Kota Yogyakarta, Reduksi Waste management is still a problem for the City of Yogyakarta. On the one hand, the Piyungan Final Waste Disposal Site (TPST), which is the only TPST for the City of Yogyakarta, is no longer able to accommodate the waste produced by the community. Meanwhile, on the other hand, public awareness and behavior in sorting waste is still not optimal. To overcome this problem, the Yogyakarta City government implemented a Waste Bank program. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Yogyakarta City waste bank in 2023 for the next 5 years. The data collection methods used were literature study, observation and in-depth interviews. The data processing method in this research uses the exponential method which is used to carry out population projections to estimate the amount of waste and its reduction in the Yogyakarta City waste bank. The analysis results show that the waste bank can reduce waste by 1.59% in 2023 and reduce it by 9.16% in 2028. Thus, this program must not be stopped. This program must continue and be consistent, seen from the results of research which shows that the reduction in waste in the city of Yogyakarta is quite large.
