Abstract
ABSTRAK Transportasi adalah hal yang paling penting dan mempunyai peranan utama sebagai alat mobilisasi di daerah. Suatu daerah dapat dikatakan maju, salah satunya dapat ditinjau dari sistem transportasinya, yaitu apabila daerah tersebut memiliki sistem transportasi yang baik dan tertata rapi. Dalam hal transportasi, Kabupaten Purworejo merupakan daerah yang berada pada garis kedua pola perjalanan transportasi darat antar kota di jawa yaitu Jalur Lintas Selatan (JLS). Oleh karena itu, setiap tahunnya Kabupaten Purworejo harus menampung lalu lintas yang sangat besar. Dalam persoalan manampung inilah peran terminal Purworejo menjadi vital. Kondisi terminal Purworejo saat ini kurang optimal. Banyak masyarakat yang mengeluh tentang kondisi terminal Purworejo saat ini. Calon penumpang lebih memilih menunggu bus di luar terminal dari pada masuk terminal sehingga menyebabkan terminal sepi dan merugikan pedagang-pedagang kecil di dalam terminal. Perancangan ulang Terminal Purworejo dengan konsep sustainable architecture dan penambahan fungsi rest area ini diharapkan mampu mengembalikan fungsi terminal Purworejo sebagaimana semestinya. Penambahan fungsi rest area di terminal Purworejo sebagai pendukung konsep sustainable architecture dengan menciptakan suatu ruang atau hubungan sosial antara bangunan terminal dan bangunan rest area, sehingga dapat menguntungkan pedagang-pedagang di dalam terminal dari segi ekonomi. Penataan ulang area terminal Purworejo yang lebih baik diharapkan juga mampu untuk menarik warga masyarakat yang melintas untuk masuk ke dalam terminal dan menggunakan pelayanan terminal yang baru maupun hanya sekedar untuk transit dan beristirahat di rest area. Kata Kunci : Redesain, terminal Tipe A, sustainable architecture, dan rest area ABSTRACT Transportation is the most important thing and as a major means of mobilization in an area. A transportation system is one of the aspects to see an area development. An area can be said as a developed area if it has a good and neat transportation system. In terms of transportation, Purworejo Regency is a city which is on the second line of land transportation patterns among cities in Java, namely the Jalur Lintas Selatan (JLS). Therefore, every year Purworejo Regency must accomodate a very large traffic. It means that the role of the Purworejo Bus Station is extremely important. The condition of the Purworejo bus station is currently less than optimum. Many bus station communities complained about the current condition of the Purworejo bus station. Residents or prospective passengers prefer waiting for buses outside the bus station to entering it. It causes the bus station to be quiet and it is detrimental to small traders inside. The redesign with the concept of sustainable architecture and the addition of the function of the rest area in the Purworejo bus station are expected to restore the function of the Purworejo bus station as it should.The addition of the rest area function in Purworejo Bus Station as a support for the concept of sustainable architecture by creating a space or social relationship between the bus station building and the rest area building, so that it can benefit traders in the bus station in terms of economy.The better rearrangement of the Purworejo Bus Station area is also expected to be able to attract passing residents to enter the bus station and use the new terminal services or just to transit and rest in the rest area.
