Abstract
This study is conducted to discuss behavior changes of the main character in Finding Nemo movie. There are three problems analyzed in this study: (1) the behavior changes portrayed by the main character of the movie; (2) the reasons that cause the main character changing behavior; (3) the other characters reaction toward the behavior changes of the main character. The writer uses Albert Bandura Theory (Self-efficacy theory) to analyze the behavior changes. The data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative method which focuses on the analysis of textual data. The data were collected by watching the movie, reading the script after that the writer notes the data from the movie and the script. The writer also got the data from the dialogue of the movie and some references that relate to the theory, movie and all the sources that support the writer in collecting data. After that the writer classifies the data and drawing the conclusion. The analysis of this research results in some findings. The writer finds four reasons why Marlin’s behaviour change. They are (1) fear; (2) loosing; (3) guilty feeling; (4) trial. The writer also fins that Marlin has a bad behavior because of his trauma of grief. Marlin becomes paranoid, overprotective, egoistic and distrustful. Key words: Finding Nemo movie, Marlin, behavior, social cognitive, self-efficacy theory
