Abstract

This study aims to determine the stages of internet use in the development of web-based learning media for Basic Graphic Design subjects, the feasibility, and quality of web media, and the effectiveness of web media in improving student learning outcomes. This study applies research and development methods with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). The results of the study indicate that the internet can be utilized by developing web-based learning media at SMK PIRI 3 Yogyakarta. The web-based learning media developed are feasible to use in Basic Graphic Design subjects based on validation of (a) media experts which average appearance is 90% (very good), average aspect of content is 94% (very good), average aspect of Language is 70% (good), average interactivity aspect is 100% (very good) and the average result of all aspect is 89% (very good). (b) Material experts, which an average learning aspect is 90% (very good), average material aspect is 92% (very good) and the result of all average aspect is 91% (very good). (c) Experiments of students which an average facilitation aspect is 98% (very good), average display aspect of interaction is 94% (very good), average aspect of interest is 92% (very good), and average aspect of all is 95% (very well). Web-based media developed is effective to improve learning outcomes in Basic Graphic Design subjects. Based on the test result in small group trial, there is an increase in the average value of pretest (63) to posttest (85), thus, the increase reach 22%, and the increase can be considered significant with empirical t 2.12053 which can be classified to be significant.
