Abstract

Technology has developed rapidly along with the times, not least the increasingly automatic and innovative agricultural sector. In Indonesia, there are many agricultural tools that are automatic and profitable for the community because they facilitate their work. For example, automatic rice cleaning tools that can ease human work without having to do it manually. This is very useful and effective in accelerating the rice cleaning work. This automatic rice cleaning tool will clean the rice from the rest of the rice skin that is still attached after initial cleaning. The working principle is rice which is in the main reservoir and then descends through a small gap. When passing through the gap, the rice is cleaned using a fan to remove dirt that sticks to the rice, then the clean rice goes into the reservoir. The ultrasonic sensor has been installed so that if the lower reservoir is full then the cover on the main reservoir will be closed. The ultrasonic sensor on the reservoir will respond to move the servo motor to close the main reservoir if the distance of rice has reached 3 cm, in that condition the rice that has been cleaned reaches ½ kg. The setup of the Servo and Fan Motors can be set according to the instructions from Arduino. This tool is proven to be able to clean the dirt that sticks to the rice, so that it gets clean rice.
