Abstract

For most chicken farmers, it can be difficult task to keep feeding all the time. Generally, farmers pour the food using their hands and walk along the cage while the chicken coop is very wide. Such activity will take time and energy for chicken farmers. The purpose of making a tool entitled "Web-Based Chicken Feeder" is to facilitate maintenance or keeping of livestock such as chicken, to make feeding easier, so that when the farmer has other things to do or has to leave the chicken for a long time, the feeding process of chicken will be maintained and will be controlled. Therefore it is needed a tool that can help chicken farmers in feeding the chicken. So in this research a web-based chicken feeder will be made. The system will be added to the chicken feeder prototype tool, this system will also provide a "monitoring and controlling" feature that will make the farmers monitor their chicken easier. In this research the design on the chicken feed can resolve the problem by using the web as access to feeding which control system uses NodeMCU8266 as an Arduino replacement program. In setting the temperature and humidity of the chicken coop NodeMCU8266 and LM35 sensors are used. This sensor can make farmers to do chicken care easier. Based on testing on this tool it can be concluded, merging between hardware and software can make this tool work properly. Namely feeding can be controlled using the web as an opening and closing door for feeding, and the temperature of the cage can be monitored using the web.
