Abstract

Technological advancements that continue to grow rapidly now make companies that provide a variety of programs to help develop Internet of Things based products. In general, Internet of Things can be interpreted as objects around which can connect between each other through the internet network. The Internet of Things has an intended concept to widen the benefits of being connected in a continuous internet connection. For example electronic objects, food ingredients and including living things and much more. These objects can be embedded sensors that are made active and widely connected, both with local and global networks. In industry, equipment can be designed to provide information about its condition. For example reptile terrarium requires a temperature that is compatible with the reptile's environment, reptile feed, lighting, and the equipment transmits information on temperature status, stock of drinking, food and lights periodically to other equipment via the internet network. The design and implementation of terrarium uses the Blynk application with a wireless remote system that is used to monitor temperature, control lights, and providers of scheduled reptile feeds in terrarium using Nodemcu ESP8266 which uses web servers in this study, DHT22 sensors that use temperature and humidity sensors. And IoT as a remote controller via the internet that can facilitate compilation of given feeds as requested. The terrarium application that will be made with IoT-based data will appear in the Blynk application that is installed on the smartphone can also be set according to what we want. With this system, reptile terrariums used can be easily monitored. Monitoring easiness will prevent us from malfunction machine situation due to the lateness of reptile maintanance.
