Abstract

This study aims to develop measuring instruments design for android-based humans’ body mass index as a measure that can provide effectiveness and efficiency to children. This research is a development or Research and Development (R & D). This research was carried out with several steps, namely: identification of potential and problems, information gathering, tool design, tool making, tool revision, testing, and results. The development of android-based humans’ body mass index design was first validated by the supervisor, examiners, and five students for trials. The subjects of this study were under 12 year old children. Data collection techniques used in this study using instruments in the form of measurements one by one child. The results of the study show that the android-based humans’ body mass index design is designed to provide understanding and effectiveness in measuring ideal body weight. Thus, the conclusion that the body mass index measuring device design is ready to be used for tests and measurements in the future so that it can be relied on and developed in the future to be better.
