Abstract

Tourism is a valuable aspect for a region. Tourism area can promote the welfare of the community around the Sidenreng Rappang Regency that has many tourism destinations. One of them is Taman Wisata Puncak Bila. If the existing facilities and infrastructure are developed further then certainly it will increase tourism in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The use of Information Technology can advance the tourism area. So that the tourism area can be known by tourists who want to visit Sidenreng Rappang Regency, especially to Taman Wisata Puncak Bila. Geographic Information System is built using android platform. This Final Project uses Java as language programming with Android Studio as development software. Map Designing displayed in this system uses Google Maps API. Software used in building this application is PHP (Pear Hypertext Preprocessor) as programming language, MySQL as database server. The result of the design of Android-based Geographical Information System Applications of Taman Wisata Puncak Bila will be able to provide information on the location of the tourism destination that can be used as a reference for tourists who visit. The use of Global Positioning System (GPS) in this application becomes very important in determining the existence of tourists. In addition there are routes to get to destination. Public facilities such as ATMs, Mosques, Lodging, Hospitals and more are also available in this application. Keywords: Geographic Information System, Android, Tourism, Tourist Attraction, GPS.
