Abstract

There are still many uses of photos and videos to document a movement that is both long and short in duration instead of using Laban notation which is a documentary movement that has been recognized internationally. Documenting the movement using the gesture notation method notated the movement will be more detailed and can be reconstructed or easily re-studied without having to have the actor himself. To document the movement, an actor and movement capture device is needed, namely Kinect to record the movements carried out by the actor. From capture using Kinect to produce digital data with the Biovision Hierarchy (BVH) file format which will be notified using Laban notation. The resulting notation will be synchronized with 3dimensional animation and BVH files so that the resulting movements and notations are not different. Teachers can teach students movements carried out by actors or reconstruct movements carried out by actors. Keywords: Motion, Notation, Animation, Laban, Kinect, BVH
