Abstract
With the rapid advancement of technology, especially the development of smartphones, particularly Android, it provides convenience in the use of internet and smartphone media in data needs that can be obtained anywhere and anytime by using internet browsers and mobile smartphones, thus, one of the methods to access Yogyakarta tourist location data using web and also mobile is by implementing a database server system using a web service. This study aims to provide locations of tourist attractions in Yogyakarta by utilizing GPS (Global Positioning System) and internet connection, as well as knowing tourist information in Yogyakarta. This system uses the Haversine method to function for navigation and this formula produces the desired distance and provides information about the location, route, and distance of tourist attractions. In addition, Foursquere is a site which will provide data in the form of reviews and ratings on desired tourist attractions. Data collection is conducted through observation, documentation, and interviews. Digital analysis is implemented as data analysis. Presentation of data, verification of data, and description of data are the final report of this study. This application can be concluded as a means to ease domestic tourists to find tourist attractions in Yogyakarta easily by using smartphones and provide updates on the latest tourist attractions.
