Abstract
Vocational High Schools always make new ways to do the selection and registration stages for prospective students. One of these stages is to make enrolment selection, to be able to take part in the selection with one of the conditions to fill out a personal data form. To facilitate the selection and registration at the National Vocational School, a new student selection information system is created. The stages of admission to Vocational Schools start from registration by creating an account. Then, students will make a payment in the bank and upload the transfer slip to the payment validation menu. The payment slip which has been uploaded will, then, be validated by the admin, thus students can log in to the system. This system will produce a weighting value which is used as a reference for student ratings. Furthermore, the values which have been inputted by the students will be validated by the admin by matching the original files which students have collected to school. Students can take general knowledge test and interviews at school. Through this selection process, students will be accepted into school. Smaller values will automatically be degraded. Furthermore, the selected students in the first choice will move to the second class choice because in this system students can choose the two majors which they want at the same time. If in the second choice the value of students still does not reach the quota limit, students are not accepted. This process will continue until the selection stage is completed and closed. Furthermore, students will wait for the announcement through the announcement menu. From the description above, the author aims to build a Web-Based New Student Selection Information System (Case Study: National Berbah Vocational School).
