Abstract

Position information on the earth's surface is very important for mapping, navigation, and tracking. By utilizing a GPS module (Global Position System), it can display position data where the module is located. To get position data and see the position from other places visually, it can be done by engineering telecommunications technology in real-time and it is cheap. This research builds a system to monitor the movement of objects (tracking) on the surface of the earth which is divided into several parts, namely signal receiver modules from GPS satellites (Global Position System), position data transmission with GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) technology, microcontroller with Arduino and application parts monitoring to see visualization of data on digital maps, and at the same time it can store position data into the server. Microcontroller is a digital electronic device which has input and output and control with programs that can be written and deleted in a special way. How the microcontroller works is actually to read and write data. This research tries to make software to track motorized vehicles with microcontroller-based GPS. Microcontroller is as a system of input and output programs which can read and write data and Web services as output displays. Then, it can be realized the design and development of Vehicle Tracking with Web-Based Microcontrollers. With the existence of a website-based tracking system facility, users can find out information on movable objects which can be monitored through the website. keywords : GPS, Tracking, GPRS, Microcontroller
