Abstract
Electrical energy is one of the needs that influences human survival. Electricity is used in several fields of activity such as in the economic sector, transportation to small-scale needs such as village lighting and household appliances that depend on electricity to run it. But, with so many of these needs it is not comparable with the effort to save electricity by the community. The community must understand that energy efficiency is very important, given the continued increase in population and human needs. One way is to apply modern technology and behavioral changes in energy use without having to experience a decrease in benefits from using it with productive and consumptive purposes. The application of modern technology in the field of electronics is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT is a concept that aims to expand the benefits of continuously connected internet connectivity. Just as it is used to monitor and control room lights by using internet networks through smartphones. Commands that can be used function to turn off and turn on the lights, change colors and adjust the brightness of the lights in a room. I-Bulb was developed using Android software with the help of hardware such as the NodeMCU microcontroller and Firebase as a database server. I-Bulb provides convenience to users in monitoring and controlling lights in a room by using smartphones as a medium. Keywords: I-Bulb, Internet of Things (IoT), NodeMCU.
